IT'S NOT YOU, IT'S ME

It may appear to some of you that I may have completely fallen off the face of the earth since 24 November... Trust me, that was not my intention or own-doing.
I was sooo excited for my Cape Town visit for the weekend and couldn't wait to take some nice photo's of all the food and activities we were planning.
This all came to an abrupt halt when I was robbed of my cellphone not less than 30 minutes after landing in Cape Town. Geez Cape Town, what a welcome. Okay, I know I can not hold a grudge forever and it is not like Cape Town the city actually stole my cellphone, but some low-life who is to lazy to actually earn an honest living. All I wanted to do was just run after and beat the living day lights out of this thief. Who on earth gave him the permission to violate me and steal from me, to take away my sense of security and have that hold over me that I need to stay on high alert at all times. Okay I know we live in a very unsafe South Africa and we all live in homes with burglar bars and alarm systems, we go to bed each night praying we don't fall victim to robbery or even assault for a measly watch or cellphone.
I can thank God that my life was not being threatened at the time and after all it is just a phone which can be replaced. No need to put your life in jeopardy over an material item. I just deeply regret the fact that my photo's were not backed-up. All my memories GONE FOREVER. The album I created of my precious furbaby who passed away, the album with over a 1 000 pictures of my adorable nephew, my cherished family photo's. All gone. I have learnt an expensive lesson. Back yo shit up!
Even though I was without a phone for the weekend, I did not let that ruin my weekend. I still did everything I wanted to do. And I will soon be posting photo's of it. Luckily my friend didn't mind tooo much that I loaned her phone to take photo's. hehe
Till next Time.
